I'll Meet You There: Where Dreams and Reality Collide

Skylar Evans is a girl on the cusp of a life vastly different from the one her peers seem destined for. She's not your average Creek View girl, dreaming of a double-wide trailer and a life confined by the graveyard shift at Taco Bell. Skylar's ambition is far grander, her sights set on the freedom of art school, a vision she's painstakingly built for herself. But life, as it often does, throws a curveball. Just three months before her dreams can materialize, her mother's job disappears, threatening to shatter Skylar's carefully constructed future. Faced with this unexpected reality, Skylar finds herself torn between the life she's always envisioned and the people who depend on her.

Meanwhile, Josh Mitchell, a young man who once dreamt of escape through the Marines, returns from Afghanistan a changed person. His leg is gone, and his once-cocky spirit has been replaced by a chilling silence. Fate, in its peculiar way, brings Skylar and Josh together at the Paradise, a quirky motel nestled along California's dusty Highway 99. Despite their seemingly opposite worlds, Skylar and Josh find themselves drawn to each other, sharing a sense of isolation that fosters an unexpected friendship, one that blossoms into something deeper, more profound.

In the heart of California's sun-drenched landscape, "I'll Meet You There" is a poignant story about resilience, finding hope in unexpected places, and the transformative power of connection. Heather Demetrios, the author, crafts a captivating tale that delves into the complexities of human emotions and explores the delicate balance between dreams and reality.
