Kiki Hamilton - The Faerie Ring

The Faerie Ring: Where London's Shadows Meet Fairy Magic

The year is 1871, and the streets of London hum with the energy of a city on the cusp of change. Amidst the bustling crowds, Tiki, a resourceful young woman, is carving out a life for herself and her family of orphans in a forgotten corner of Charing Cross Station. Their survival depends on nimble fingers and quick wits, navigating the city's underbelly with a blend of cunning and desperation.
One fateful December night, Tiki's thieving hand snatches a ring, setting off a chain reaction that will shake the very foundations of both the human and Faerie worlds. The stolen ring, it turns out, is no ordinary jewel – it's a powerful symbol of the fragile peace treaty between Queen Victoria and the realm of Faerie. Its disappearance sparks a dangerous gambit by a rebel faction of faeries, bent on breaking the treaty with dark magic and blood.
As Tiki, unaware of the ring's significance, is thrust into a world of hidden dangers, a mysterious thief named Rieker steps into the shadows, his own secrets intertwining with her destiny. Rieker, sensing her connection to the missing ring, becomes both protector and observer, drawn into a dangerous game where the lines between friend and foe blur. But Tiki's true identity remains shrouded in mystery, and her very existence becomes a haunting enigma for Prince Leopold, the Queen's son, who is consumed by the mark that circles her wrist. In this whirlwind of intrigue and enchantment, the fates of a prince, a pauper, and a thief become inextricably linked. Can they overcome their individual challenges and unite against the looming threat to their world, or will the stolen ring shatter the peace and plunge London into a bloody conflict with the realm of Faerie? Kiki Hamilton is a talented author who blends historical elements with fantastical elements in her work, seamlessly creating worlds that are both familiar and utterly captivating.
